I would definitely agree that 3d rendering has been and will continue to be at the forefront of selling architecture to clients. Plus the added benefit of virtually constructing each aspect of a project, before spending even a single dollar on construction using BIM, is a total game changer for most architects (myself included), provided that they aren’t afraid of learning something new. However, there is another very useful tool that i felt was missing from this read and that originated not from architecture but the latest in game design technology called real time ray tracing or RTRT. It is particularly useful in saving time because now we can spend minutes instead of hours to get extremely photo realistic renderings of any project and share them with clients to incorporate their feedback in real time. To me, i just think this is the absolute peak of efficiency one can achieve for designing construction projects, but then again you never know what the future might hold.
